Please don't dilute the admin fix effort by starting another letter campaign.
IV just finished a letter campaign in which one of the items were 3 yr EAD/AP. Why do we need another letter campaign? There is still lot of work going on related to the Admin fixes, please do work with your state chapters to setup meetings with lawmakers to seek their support for the Admin fix effort.

It will be YOUR I-140, not your spouse's...your spouse doesn't even have to disclose your I-140 story while going through F1 stamping...
The trouble only starts when you file 485..now if your spouse is on a F1...the immigrant/non-immigrant conflict of intent could pose a problem...

Go only if you really need to. If it's just a vacation, postponing is a good idea but don't miss out on brother's wedding etc to stay in US.

Today I receive an email from USCIS about my PERM EB2 I-140 PP application that they have have made a decision on my case. Here what it says
"On August 17, 2007, we mailed you a decision on your I140, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER. Please follow the instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, please contact customer service."
What does it mean? They approved my case or denied it? Any idea from gurus here. Please respond.

In my instance I have been working with my current employer for past 5 years and this is 2nd H1B renewal with the same employer. It is sad that they have such a policy which discourages jobs in consulting sector.

I am a primary applicant of GC. My question is can I take an unpaid vacation (for upto 6 months). FYI, My PD is EB3 - Aug 2003.
Does that affect my GC status in any way?

Everyone working in India for any length of time will have to contribute 24% towards EPF. This contribution cannot be withdrawn or tranferred to another country unless a totalization agreement exists between that country and India. Previously non-resident Indians and foreigners were either not required to make this contribution or allowed to withdraw it upon leaving India.
My reading is that this has no impact on people who do not work in India. It will reduce net pay for citizens of countries without totalization agreements with India, specially because the EPF contribution in India applies to total gross pay without any upper limit.
To sum it up:

My AP is valid until JUNE 27 2011, (Here is the line from the I-512L, Presentation of the Original Document prior to June 27 2011 allows a customs and border protection inspector at a port-of-entry to parole the named bearer) I'm travelling to India during May / June and will be entering LAX back on June25. Will this be an issue as my AP is expiring in next couple of days.
Experts please let me know your thoughts on my situation whether it is safe to travel and getting in back will not be of an issue.

The best recourse would be to pay the $100 or so and ask a qualified attorney; but from the J-1 cases of friends that I had seen closely here is what I can say:

5.) It needs a lot of planning to fit in the waiver categories whether Conrad 20 state/federal interested agencies. If by some chance it gets messed up, you HAVE to goback for 2 years, irrespective of the fact that you are a benificiary on your husband's Immigration petition. In fact that was the reason my wife went for a H1 sponsoring hospital.

This brings up a seperate question if employment gaps are not allowed in EB AOS then what if EAD renewal does not come in time. I have no idea about that one. Its messy. US really needs CIR they need to do some house cleaning.
if ead renewal keeps you away from work, then i guess you can always be on a short vacation locally ...a month or two? i think vacation is allowed.

This is a great idea. My EB3 pending for almost a year now at NSC and cases at TSC are being cleared well with in the 6 month timeframe.
I really wish IV could take this as a top priority issue.
Lets have other members support us in this.

When I called at USPS , one lady picked up phone and she told it was PO Box no so we cant deliver. It is available to them to pick up but the man from USCIS might pick it up on early monday morning. Now I am worried does that mean my mailing date is Aug 17th or Aug 20th.
SO now USCIS will accept my application or not ?? Please advise ? Any body has same situation ?
