Why are we meeting: To support IV's drive to lobby and contact Law Makers to fix Employment Based Immigration
Calling all WA state chapter member to attend this meeting. We need to start working together and start talking to lawmakers. If nobody hears us, they will not know how to support us in the next immigration bill that is being crafted.

Hi All,
How many of you gone through this postings in www.Murthy.com website.
"Priority Date Movement and H1B Extension Strategies"
This article states that one can't apply for 3 years H1b even if their I140 is approved and they should go for 1yr extension. In my case I am short of 20days to be eligible for 1yr extension. since my H1B expires 20days before my Labour filling date.
Note:
a) I dont have my visa stamped on my pp
b) My wife's H4 expires on July07 mine oct\07
c) I have already filed for 3yrs of H1B and H4 extension as of May before the PD became current.
1) So What are my options?
i) Apply for 485 and wait for EAD.
ii) Leave the H1B petition as such Apply EAD and wait for the decisions on my case
iii) Go to canda for 25 days and come back with out stamping and recapture the dates and apply for 1yr extension
iv) Go to canada get H1B stamped and go to INDIA for a month and get H4 stamping for my wife and come back and recpature the dates and get 1yr extension.
v)File 485 get receipt and go to INDIA for 3months and recapture the dates
and get 1Yr extn and come back in H1B.
vi) Don't File 485. Go outside country gain 21days and apply 1Y extn.
vii) with draw current petition and apply for my wife till 10\07.
2) What happens if my 3yrs extenson petition is rejected\RFE is sent? Will my wife be out of status bcos her h4 is valid only till 07/07.
what happens if she has to leave if the petition is cancelled. Her I94 is expired.whether she will face any problems at the airport.
3)Can she maintain a valid status after 07/07 if the case is still pending?
if Yes untill when?

hmmm... i've been trying to export as an eps to freehand or as ai to illustrator, neither of which have been working because i think the file's too big (1200 x 2400). when i export the resulting file appears to be just vertical lines. i'll try just copying and pasting, if it works i will be a happy camper.

My friends received Green cards in 2007. They live abroad, but make regular trips tho the Us to visit family and maintain their GC.
Unfortunaltely, they recently misplaced their green cards. They are planning a trip to the US this month, for which they have received travel letters from the US Embassy abroad.
Would anyone know what the process is afterwords? We know they have to file I-90s to replace their lost GC. Does this have to be done at the port of entry? Or is it done at a local office on reaching their final US destination?
Also, will they be called for a biometric appointment locally or can that be done at a Port of Entry. Can the biometric be done at a location abroad?
If anyone has any info on this, it'd be truly appreciated.

Title and Job responsibilities dont matter as long as they are same or similar. Your GC Labor has been approved for the title 'Analyst Programmer', so its well worth an effort for you to carry that forward (in same or similar lines).

All,
My 4 years and 2 months on H1B will finish in this November and we are in the process of applying for an extension. I have my 140 approved and waiting for my priority date to become current.

Also, please can you specify the USCIS rule under which it is applicable?

Thank you for the reply. My confusion stemmed from whether i can use my US License as my id for gaining the license. Or whether somehow my A# or I94 number had to be noted on the license/certificate in order to use it at a later point for the green card process.

The process is similar to what one would follow for the regular H1B's. Starts with filing the prevailing wage determination with the labor dept and then filing the I-129 papers with USCIS. The only difference would be the fee, non-profit organizations don't have to pay something like a training fee, (I am not sure). You can file it anytime and start working as soon as you have the receipt number.

Was trying to do something different with the petals of a white Persian violet bloom. I could not isolate the bloom from the other blooms in the planting, but not sure if that matters or not. Does this shot work on any level or should I have moved on to something else?
